From Mechanic to Maker: The Story Behind Bobbershop

From Mechanic to Maker: The Story Behind Bobbershop

Bobbershop started with a problem on my own Triumph Bobber.

After searching online for parts, I kept finding options that were either expensive, generic, or not quite right for my specific bike. I wanted parts that actually fit properly, followed the lines of the bike, and looked like they belonged there.

So I decided to design my own.

Using CAD software and 3D printing, I began creating custom parts that were clean, functional, and purpose-built for modern classic Triumphs.

What started as a part for my own bike quickly turned into something bigger. Friends wanted one. Then other riders. Before long, Bobbershop was born.

By day, I run a commercial vehicle repair business. By night (and most weekends), I’m designing, printing, testing, and refining parts in the garage. Every product I sell is something I’ve personally developed and fitted myself — no dropshipping, no generic reselling.

I use strong, carbon-fibre reinforced materials designed for durability, heat resistance, and real-world use.

Outside of the garage, I genuinely enjoy attending local bike nights and shows, meeting other riders, seeing different builds, and talking about ideas. A lot of new product ideas actually start from conversations at those events.

Bobbershop is about keeping things clean, functional, and easy to fit — parts that improve the look of your bike without overcomplicating it.

Thanks for supporting a small UK-based maker.
